Who this is for

We small business

That is the whole audience. The people who answer their own phone, sign their own checks, and cannot afford to spend a year finding out an agency was guessing. If that is you, everything below is priced and named so you can check it yourself.

We are also fighting the AI revolution. The robots are going to put us all through the grinder — the search results answer the question before anybody reaches your website, and the thing writing the answer has never once needed a water heater at 11pm on a Sunday. Small business loses that fight by default unless somebody makes sure the machines know you exist and send the person to your door. Here is the longer version →

Why the name

We named the company after the thing we're against.

Fifteen years in this industry taught me one uncomfortable lesson: most of what gets called marketing is engineered to make you feel something you can't verify. Vague reports. Vanity metrics. Twelve-month contracts signed before a single deliverable exists. It works, which is exactly the problem.

unvertise (v.) — to strip the persuasion out and leave the work.
A schema block either validates or it doesn't. A citation is either accurate on 70+ directories or it isn't. Those are checkable. We only sell checkable.

Where the experience comes from

Not a first rodeo, and not a big agency either.

Unvertise is small on purpose. The work behind it isn't.

30+Agency partnerships delivering SEO under their name
150+Locations managed across 8 national brands
50+Brands run through our content process
15Years working on websites, before this was a company

Before Unvertise, Russ ran social media and online reputation for one of the largest dental support organizations in the country, consolidating a fragmented multi-company structure into one centralized model across 8 brands. That's where the local, reputation, and crisis work on this page comes from. It isn't theory.

The numbers behind all of it are here — six engagements with the client names removed, including the two that didn't work.

How we work

Five things get checked every single month, on every site we touch.

Most retainers are pay-and-hope. You send money, you get a PDF, and nobody can tell you what actually changed. Ours is a standing list. It's boring, it's repeatable, and it's the reason sites don't quietly rot.

Ask any agency to publish their recurring monthly tasks. Watch what happens.

01
Schema audit and updateStructured data validated, errors cleared, new page types marked up as they ship.
02
Metadata auditTitles and descriptions reviewed against what people are actually searching for.
03
Internal linking auditOrphan pages found, link equity routed toward the pages that make money.
04
Site health checkupBroken links, redirect chains, server errors, and page speed regressions.
05
Crawl and indexing monitoringWhat Google can reach, what it's ignoring, and why that changed this month.

Pricing

Buy the piece you need. Not the bundle we'd rather sell you.

Everything below is month to month. Stack what makes sense, drop what doesn't. Stack enough of it and the bundle gets cheaper than the sum. If you're not sure where to start, start with Local — it's the fastest thing to feel.

retainer, scoped to the role
  • RoleSenior marketing thinking without a senior salary
  • RoleChannel strategy, budget calls, and vendor accountability

For companies with a marketing budget and nobody senior deciding where it goes.

What we don't do: annual contracts, setup fees you can't identify, or a monthly report full of numbers that only go up. If a service on this page isn't the thing you actually need, we'll say so before you buy it. That costs us money sometimes. It's still the right call.

For agencies

The hard part of SEO, handled quietly under your name.

More than 30 agencies have run their SEO through Unvertise. Your client never hears our name, our logo never lands on a deliverable, and you keep the relationship. We're the part of your team that stays off the org chart.

Talk about white-label Meet the partners

  • Unbranded deliverables. Docs and decks arrive clean, or in your brand.
  • Wholesale pricing. Different rate card than the one above. Ask.
  • You own the client. We don't contact them, ever, unless you put us on the call.
  • Capacity without headcount. Take the SEO work you've been turning down.
  • One person, start to finish. No handoff between a strategist and whoever's free.

The person doing the work

You are hiring a guy, not a logo.

Google's guidelines ask for experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust. Most agencies answer that with a stock photo. Here is the alternative: a real person who exists outside of work, and can prove it.

None of this makes anyone better at schema markup. It does mean there is a specific person on the other end of the email, which is getting rarer. More proof I am a real human →

Straight answers

Questions people ask before they trust an SEO company

Is there a contract?

Month to month. Cancel any time, no exit fee, no clawback. Twelve-month lock-ins exist because agencies know months one through four don't look like much. We'd rather earn month five.

Why is Local $199 when other agencies charge $1,500?

Because it's one job, done properly, and not padded with things you didn't ask for. Citation building and Google Business Profile management is a defined task with a defined tool cost. Charging $1,500 for it requires either bundling in work you may not need, or hoping you never look closely.

Can I really buy just one service?

Yes. That's the entire point of pricing it this way. Plenty of clients run Local and nothing else for six months. Some run only Technical. Add things when there's a reason to, not because a package forced it.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. Google doesn't sell placement in organic results and nobody controls the algorithm. What we guarantee is the work: the deliverables listed on this page, on the cadence listed on this page, documented so you can verify them.

Who actually does the work?

Russ does. For larger builds there's a bench of trusted contractors, and you'll be told when that happens and who's involved. You won't get passed to a junior account manager who forwards your emails.

Do you use AI to write content?

Yes, as part of a process built over three years and applied across 50+ brands, with a person doing the research, the brief, the edit, and the final pass. Anyone claiming they don't use AI at all in 2026 is either behind or not being straight with you. What matters is whether the result is worth reading.

What if SEO isn't my problem?

Then we'll tell you. Sometimes the issue is pricing, or the phone not getting answered, or a website that converts nobody regardless of traffic. Selling you a retainer that can't fix your actual problem is how this industry earned its reputation.

Tell us what's broken. We'll tell you what it costs.

No discovery sequence, no proposal deck, no three-call process before a number appears. Describe the situation and you'll get a straight answer, including if that answer is that you don't need us.
