Answer engine optimization for small businesses in Greenville, SC

Get named in the answer, not summarized around it. Perfect for visibility when buyers ask a chatbot before they ever open a search results page.

When somebody asks an AI who to call, one business gets named and everybody else gets averaged into a paragraph. This decides which one you are. It's mostly just SEO with the volume turned up, and I'll tell you which parts are real.

What AEO agencies sell What is actually happening
"Our proprietary AI Visibility Score."
A number the agency invented, that only they can calculate. Ask how it's derived before you pay for it.
"A whole new discipline for a whole new era."
Clear structure, correct schema, real questions answered plainly. It's the SEO playbook, weighted differently.

Who this is actually for

Greenville contractors, home services, restaurants and practices whose buyers research first. If your category has a question people ask a chatbot, that question already has an answer — and somebody is being named in it.

The part nobody says out loud

This is SEO with a new name on it.

Every agency selling AEO, including this one, works from the same public docs and its own testing. Nobody has a line into OpenAI. The agencies charging $7,500 a month don't know more than you do.

What changed is emphasis: structure, clarity, and schema matter more than they used to. Real shift, worth work, not a new religion.

I don't live in Greenville. For local SEO that would matter. For this it doesn't — whether a model can parse your cost page is the same question in either city.

Proof, names removed

Three clients you can't name, ranked inside the models.

Industry only — most of this ran under partner agencies' names. Ask me on a call and I'll walk the dashboards.

Artificial turf installer · AEO / LLM

#3 in LLMs for the category's main search term

2×Organic traffic vs. prior period
1,010Consultations booked from organic
$1.2MEst. revenue from organic, one year

Built topical authority around cost — the question every buyer types and every competitor answers vaguely — then optimized it for LLM answers as well as classic organic. 3,801 keywords, the most in the account's history.

Veteran-owned solar · Core update recovery

#1 on Gemini for its category term, after a core update gutted it

78%Of lost keyword visibility recovered
2,182Appointments booked from organic
2.5MAI audience reached

Technical health first, then existing content rewritten and new content written specifically for LLM extraction. Highest keyword and SERP feature count since 2024.

Epoxy floor coating · Local + technical + content

Now appears inside Google's AI answers for its services

+517%Conversions from organic search
3×Impressions vs. prior six months
320Keywords in the top three, up from 105

A sitemap holding 18 pages meant most of the service area was invisible. Rebuilt indexing, expanded local coverage city by city, published the service pages that were missing. The curve hasn't flattened yet.

What we actually do

Five things, ranked by how much I believe in them.

Ranked by what actually moves, not by how it demos in a pitch.

01
Vital information firstThe answer goes at the top, before the brand story. If a model has to hunt for the point, it quotes whoever made it easier. Highest-leverage item here.
Where that worked — artificial turf installer

One cost guide, written to answer the question directly, generated 18% of all site clicks and now ranks for 1,065 SERP features. The top six pages that brand gets cited for in LLMs are all pages I wrote or rewrote.

02
Custom schema, and a lot of itHand-written JSON-LD matching what's actually on the page, not a plugin's guess. Every entity, service and location marked up and validated.
Where that worked — window & door installer

Structured data rebuilt sitewide and held at a clean schema grade while the category lost 11–23% of its clicks. That client lost 8%, with click-through rate up 51% year over year.

03
Semantic headings from real searchesHeadings written as the questions people actually type, pulled from search data. Then the layout is reordered to match how buyers decide.
04
Measurement you can verifyBranded citation tracking, topical coverage, or referral traffic from assistants. If something can't be measured honestly yet, you get told that instead of a dashboard.
05
FAQ blocks and FAQ schemaFAQ rich results stopped appearing in Google on May 7, 2026. The questions still matter for AI answers; the markup stopped earning a feature. Why.

Want to try it yourself first? How to get cited by ChatGPT and what schema markup actually is are both free and tell you the same things I'd do.

Notice what's missing: no AI visibility score, no "we have relationships with the models," no promise you'll show up in ChatGPT by month three. Nobody can promise that. What I can promise is the work above, on a cadence, documented so you can check it.

Pricing

Published. On the pricing page, not buried here.

AEO runs on top of a healthy site, so most buy it alongside technical or local work. All of it is listed line by line.

Why this page exists

Greenville is already finding us. That showed up in Search Console before this page existed. Whoever gets named in the AI answer for your category is getting named right now, while you read this.

Straight answers

Questions before you buy AEO from anybody

Do we need to block AI crawlers?

Almost certainly not — blocking them removes you from the answers entirely. Narrow exceptions exist for paywalled content. For a home services company, no.

Will this fix my traffic drop?

Sometimes. Often it's a core update or seasonality wearing an AI costume. That's the first thing I'd check before selling you this.

Do AI citations send real traffic, or just awareness?

Some, less than clicks used to. Worth doing anyway — being the named source shapes the shortlist even when nobody clicks — but the honest number is smaller than the pitch decks suggest.

Is llms.txt worth it?

It's cheap and takes about an hour. Nobody has proven it moves anything yet. We build it and stay skeptical. Ours is here if you want to see what one looks like.

Why is a Louisville company running a Greenville page?

Because the search data said people here were already finding us. If you want somebody who can drive to your office, I'm the wrong call.

All 116 terms, in plain English: WTF is SEO?

Shopping AI search agencies?

Most of them sell eleven separate services for what is, underneath, one job. Here is every one of those services translated into plain English so you can tell which parts you are actually buying. Then ask whoever you are talking to which of the eleven they would do first, and why.
