What a niche edit actually is

Somebody adds your link into an article that already exists and already has some age and traffic. Also called link insertions, or curated links. "Wholesale" just means buying them in bulk, usually as an agency reselling them on.

The honest take

They work until they don't. A link dropped into a paragraph it has nothing to do with, on a site that sells link placements to everyone, is exactly the footprint spam updates are built to find. The version that works is the version that isn't wholesale: a genuinely relevant page, a genuinely relevant link, and a publisher who'd have linked to you anyway if they'd known you existed.

We do link building and digital PR, and we'll tell you plainly which one your site actually needs. What we won't do is sell you a hundred of these and hope.

If you're an agency pricing this out for a client: the reseller pricing guide covers what link building genuinely costs and what a suspiciously cheap rate means.
