The saddest part of AI.

I don't get to make great decks anymore.

A real slide I made. Semiotics, pizza, LeBron. Nobody asked for this and it was perfect.
A real slide I made. Semiotics, pizza, LeBron. Nobody asked for this and it was perfect.

This slide explained why language models cite some pages and not others, using a pizza, a signifier, and the question "why wasn't he as good as LeBron?"

It made the point: break language down the way the robots do, and they'll quote you more often.

Now a model builds the deck in forty seconds and it's fine. Clean. Correct. Nobody remembers it.

The work didn't get worse. The weird got optimized out. I'm keeping the pizza.
